Project Bisita Advisory Committee Holds Quarterly Meeting in May

Guam CEDDERS facilitates the Project Bisita Advisory Committee meeting on May 12, 2015 at the Dededo Lagu Resource Center. The Project Bisita Advisory Committee meets on a quarterly basis to provide feedback on the state of the program and to support Strengthening Families Guam activities. Guam CEDDERS provides technical assistance and supports to this project in collaboration with the Department of Public Health and Social Services through a contract.

Guam CEDDERS partnered with representatives from the Pepnet2 Project to facilitate a summit to build state capacity to address critical issues in Deaf Education, specifically addressing transition from secondary education to postsecondary options.  The summit, held on May 20-22, brought representatives from the Pacific Basin entities to Honolulu.

Dr. Scott Ross from Utah State University, presented the basics of Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) at the PBIS Summit held on Friday, February 20 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort. Approximately 209 individuals, consisting of GDOE administrators, teachers, parents, and students were in attendance for this presentation, facilitated by Nieves Flores, Ed.D., Guam CEDDERS Consultant.​
