GCC American Sign Language Class Visits GSAT by Guam CEDDERS Guam Systems for Assistive Technology Guam System For Assistive Technology (GSAT) AT Coordinator, Leah Abelon, demonstrated the use of various AT devices on January 18-19, 2017 for students enrolled in Guam Community College’s American Sign Language classes. Eighty-two students attended the demonstrations which took place in AT Model Home located at House 20 Deans Circle, on the University of Guam campus.

Eyepal is an assistive technology tool that converts printed text into speech.

Loan Recipient Appreciates AT by Guam CEDDERS Community Services: Technical Assistance Guam Systems for Assistive Technology Dolores Camacho is a retired high school teacher who taught French and English for 36 years. She recently acquired funding for hearing aids with the help of the Guam Options for Alternative Loans – Assistive Technology (GOAL-AT), an alternative financing program under the Guam System for Assistive Technology. Mrs. Camacho shared that she wished she knew about Assistive Technology, when she was still teaching. She said, “it would have made communication with her students a lot easier.”
