Assistive Technology Model Home Opens at GSAT

On July 28, the Guam System for Assistive Technology (GSAT), held an Open House for the Accessible Model Home and Demonstration Center. The Model Home features various Assistive Technology (AT) Devices, furniture, and appliances to help individuals with disabilities live independent lives. Loan Recipient Appreciates AT

Community Services: Technical Assistance Guam Systems for Assistive Technology
Dolores Camacho is a retired high school teacher who taught French and English for 36 years.  She recently acquired funding for hearing aids with the help of the Guam Options for Alternative Loans – Assistive Technology (GOAL-AT), an alternative financing program under the Guam System for Assistive Technology.  Mrs. Camacho shared that she wished she knew about Assistive Technology, when she was still teaching.  She said, “it would have made communication with her students a lot easier.”
