Guam CEDDERS partnered with representatives from the Pepnet2 Project to facilitate a summit to build state capacity to address critical issues in Deaf Education, specifically addressing transition from secondary education to postsecondary options.  The summit, held on May 20-22, brought representatives from the Pacific Basin entities to Honolulu.

    In addition to standard wheelchairs, operators had the opportunity to secure other devices, such as this three-wheeled power scooter. Scooters often do not have standard points of securement, therefore owner Evelyn Duenas provided them with guidance on locating her preferred points and the importance of communicating with the passenger.
